Our In Home and Community Supports (IHCS) program is another support system that SweetTree offers. This program allows families to have their loved ones live in their respective homes while receiving support by trained support specialists. These services primarily focus on support with activities of daily living (ADL). This support model can /may include showers/baths, hygiene regiments, meal preparations, support with cleaning of the individual’s living area, and other needs as identified for the individual and family. This service is based on the individual’s needs, daytime or evening support, or overnight support. As described, this service is not restricted to an all-in-one delivery model; it can be separated based on the needs of the family and the individual. We recruit and hire specialists that will fit the needs and personality of all parties involved to ensure that the individual and the family are comfortable as the specialist(s) would potentially spend a great deal of time in their home. This service model also promotes community integration as a part of the daily planning which includes community outings. This is in keeping with our CPS service model that will support community integration at every avenue possible to promote independence and everyday lives for our individuals.
